Employee Duties
As an employee of GLO Laser & Skin Studio LTD, you understand your role and responsibilities within the company are as follows:
Perform all GLO Laser & Skin Studio services, unless indicated otherwise by owner Melissa Kando.
Maintain a professional presence, good manner, clean appearance & hygiene
Remain punctual, & have good attendance
Maintain a clean environment throughout the entire facility (treatment rooms, waiting area, reception, staff room, washroom etc)
Assist with answering phones, booking appointments & cashing out clients when receptionist is not present
Follow standard disinfecting, sterilization & sanitation protocol based on York Region Health & Safety requirements
Work Hours
Due to the nature of the business, employees are required to work most evenings, and Saturdays which are mandatory, with the exception of long weekend holidays.
Full time employees will be scheduled for 8-hour days within the clinic’s set working hours. However, in the event there isn’t a full day of work booked, adjusting start and finishing times may be required depending on the situation. For example: instead of working 9-5 we can adjust to 9:30-5:30 if the bookings allow.
Clients are scheduled 4-12+ weeks in advance. In order to accommodate clients who have been patiently waiting for their appointments, last minute schedule changes are discouraged and should be kept to a minimum, and only when no other remedy is available.
Dress Code
Employees are required to keep a clean appearance.
Hair tied back during treatment (hair can be let down when not in treatment).
Light & natural makeup (heavy makeup conflicts with our image as a skin clinic).
Nails are to be kept to a reasonable length. Gloves must be worn at all times during a skin care treatment if nail polish has been applied.
Employees are to wear black fitted leggings or yoga pants, with a black fitted shirt if a branded scrub top is not available, black shoes, if needed, a black sweater or cardigan (no hoodies!).
Shirt must be crew neck or v-neck. Cleavage showing is not acceptable.
Footwear must be black flats and comfortable.
Commissions & Bonuses
As an employee of GLO Laser & Skin Studio, you will earn commission on sales as follows:
Product:
10% on any retail product purchased by client sold by you.
Treatments
10% on any clients referred to us by you.
Enhancements
$2 on each enhancement added to any service
Non-Compete
As per your signed agreement, you have agreed to the following:
to not directly or indirectly compete with the business of the company and its successors and assigns during the duration of employment.
Following resignation or termination, you agree not to solicit clients of GLO Laser & Skin Studio LTD.
You shall not own, manage, operate, consult, or be employed in a business substantially similar to, or competitive with the present business of the company, within a 20 km radius.
Acknowledges that the company shall provide employee access to trade secrets, customers, and other confidential data in good will. Employee agrees to retain said information as confidential and not to use said information on his or her own behalf or disclose same to any third party. Any intellectual property obtained during employment remains confidential indefinitely.
